Networking Systems Security

IT that works as one connected system.

Nexus Wave IT helps small and mid-sized businesses and local government organizations plan, build and look after the networks, systems and safeguards they depend on. One team keeps the whole picture in view, so each decision fits the rest.

Remote-first service, with limited on-site availability in greater Tampa.

Three disciplines, one view

Most technology problems don't stay in one lane. A slow application can be a network issue, a server issue or a security setting. We work across all three, so you don't have to sort out where a problem lives before getting help.

Networking

The connections between people, offices, devices and services. We plan them for how your organization actually works, and keep them dependable as needs change.

Systems

The servers, cloud services and computers that run your daily work. We set them up carefully, keep them maintained and make them easier to manage.

Security

Practical safeguards built into the network and systems from the start, with sensible priorities and a plan for recovering when something goes wrong.

Who we work with

Small and mid-sized businesses

Technology that supports the business instead of distracting from it

You may not have a full-time IT department, or you may have one person stretched across everything. We can take on a defined project, fill in where your team needs depth, or look after day-to-day upkeep so your people can focus on their own work.

  • Office and multi-site networks that people can count on
  • Systems and cloud services set up to be easy to run
  • Security improvements prioritized by real risk and budget

Local government organizations

Careful planning and clear communication for public services

Public organizations often work with defined scopes, documentation needs and approval steps. Share those requirements early and we'll plan the work around them, with plain-language explanations that make sense to staff, leadership and other stakeholders.

  • Infrastructure assessments and upgrade planning
  • Backup, recovery and continuity planning for essential services
  • Ongoing maintenance with clearly agreed responsibilities

Two ways to work together

Choose a defined project, an ongoing arrangement, or a project that leads into ongoing support. Either way, scope and responsibilities are agreed before work begins.

Project engagements

For work with a clear start and finish.

A network upgrade, a cloud migration, a security assessment, an equipment rollout. We agree on goals, deliverables and timing up front, carry the work through, and leave you with a clear hand-off.

Ongoing monthly support

For steady care over time.

Routine maintenance, monitoring and help for your staff on a recurring basis. Responsibilities, hours and coverage are agreed individually, so the arrangement fits your organization rather than a fixed package.

Whether you have a specific project or just a sense that things could run better, a conversation is a good place to start.

Services

Services built around how your organization runs

Each area below can be part of a defined project or an ongoing monthly arrangement. Responsibilities, availability and support expectations are agreed for every engagement, so everyone knows what's covered.

Networks, systems and cloud

A dependable foundation your people can rely on every day.

Network design, installation and upgrades
Reliable connections across your office or facility, planned around how people actually work and sized for where you're headed.
Servers, virtualization and systems administration
Core systems configured carefully and looked after consistently, so they're easier to run, change and recover.
Cloud setup and migration
A considered move to cloud services where it makes sense, planned around your data, your staff and keeping disruption low.
Equipment procurement and deployment
The right equipment specified, sourced and put into service, without guesswork about what to buy or how it should be set up.

Security and continuity

Practical protection, and a plan for when things don't go as expected.

Security assessments and hardening
A clear look at where you stand today, followed by prioritized improvements to how systems are configured, updated and accessed.
Secure remote access
A safer, simpler way for staff to reach the resources they need when they're away from the office.
Backup and disaster recovery
Backups designed around what you would actually need to restore, with recovery steps worked out before they're needed.
Business continuity planning
A practical plan for keeping essential work moving during an outage or disruption, with clear roles and priorities.

Maintenance and support

Steady upkeep, so small issues are noticed and handled before they grow.

Infrastructure monitoring and alerting
Visibility into the health of key systems, so emerging issues can be noticed and looked into early.
Managed IT maintenance
Updates, checks and routine housekeeping handled on a regular rhythm instead of whenever someone remembers.
End-user support
Help for your staff when something isn't working, explained in plain language and resolved with care.
Ongoing monthly support
A standing arrangement with agreed responsibilities and coverage, shaped around your organization's needs and schedule.

Technology planning and projects

Decisions made deliberately, and projects carried through to a clean finish.

Technology planning and prioritization
A clear view of what to address first, what can wait, and how today's choices fit your future plans and budget.
Project management and implementation support
Coordination that keeps projects organized from scoping through hand-off, whether we're doing the work or supporting your team.
Coordination of equipment and deployment needs
Ordering, delivery and installation lined up so new equipment arrives on schedule and is set up to work alongside what you already have.

About

A practical, connected approach to IT

Nexus Wave IT works with organizations that want their technology to be dependable, understandable and planned with care. We bring networking, systems and security together, because that's how they behave in the real world.

How we work

  1. Plan before buying

We start by understanding how your organization works and what it needs next. Recommendations are prioritized and explained, so spending follows a plan rather than a sales cycle.

  2. Communicate clearly

You'll hear what we're doing, why it matters and what it means for your people, in plain language. Technical detail is there when you want it, without being the starting point.

  3. Connect the disciplines

Network, systems and security work affects all three. We consider them together, which helps avoid fixes in one area that create problems in another.

  4. Agree on scope up front

Every engagement starts with shared expectations: what's included, who handles what, and how support works. Clear terms make for a better working relationship.

Where we work

Nexus Wave IT is remote-first. Most planning, administration, maintenance and support is delivered remotely, which keeps work efficient and responsive to your schedule.
